  • Are registry cleaners good to run on your PC?

Posted by admin on March 11th, 2010 and filed under registry cleaners | 7 Comments »

My PC is slow at startup, is it good to run a registry cleaner? I thought I heard they were bad to run. Also, all my anti-virus stuff, spyware, degrag…etc is all ok…it is something outside of that.

    Thanks in advance!

If you get a pretty reputable one, they probably won’t cause any problems. However, since they are messing around with the Windows Registry (the backbone of the entire system), there is always a possibility of problems.

However, even if you get a good one, there is very little evidence to suggest that they do any good. Here’s an article that explains why registry cleaners shouldn’t be used as part of a computer cleaning routine.

So unless you have a specific problem with your registry, staying out of it is the best idea.

Registry Cleaners & picture error that my photos can’t be displayed?

Posted by admin on March 7th, 2010 and filed under registry cleaners | 1 Comment »

I never had a problem until I ran a registry cleaner with this error that I keep getting. Every time I try to look at a photo close up an error comes up that my computer cannot display photos or videos due to an error. HELP!

I might be wrong, but judging by your description, your computer doesn’t remember what tool to use for opening certain files. Possible solution: instead of double clicking a photo or video to open it, rightclick it, from the dropdown menu choose <open with> and click the tool which you have used before to open your files. When asked if you always want to open the files with the same tool, click <yes>. Hopefully this will help…:-)

how to reinstall window xp instead of using registry cleaners?

Posted by admin on March 5th, 2010 and filed under registry cleaners | 2 Comments »

I was told not to install a registry cleaners if your not experience, which Im not. so how to make it easy and safe for me to clean and spead up my puter ? thaks sas

There are several good and safe registery cleaners available. Check them out at cnet.com and other software review sites. If you reinstall windows, you will lose all your music and folders that you put on your pc and start with a "clean" machine. It is easier to clean out "junk" using special software such as System Mechanic. It will do the work for you after you tell it to.
