  • What are some web sites that list volunteer web development positions?

Posted by admin on February 4th, 2010 and filed under web development | 2 Comments »

I am looking for volunteer web programming work. I am an old school programmer (Motif) trying to gain experience in web development.
Now that I think about it – also interested in volunteer Linux development listings. I work with C/C++ so perhaps this is another avenue I can pursue as well.

      hello,

i have a position open at my website, http://www.allaboutskyscrapers.com. it could be great experience. we are looking for someone who will volunteer their services for our non profit organization

      the project would include:
      • A login and register system capable of activation emails, password recovery, password modification, etc.
      • A homepage/interface that can only be viewed by members currently logged into the system. From this homepage, they can access the appropriate pages to upload diagrams, upload articles, create/edit building profiles, approve uploads from users (for editors and admins), etc.
      • A searchable database of the uploaded files so that it can be viewed by both members and the public.
      • An index of all the uploaded articles, so new visitors can see the new articles uploaded and the most popular.
      • An automated photo purchasing system where payments are automatically accepted without me taking part. The non watermarked version of the photo should then be sent out to the persons email address. The photos should eventually be linked to building profiles created by the users so people can know which building they are looking at.

Please contact me if you are interested! richie@glengill.com
