  • Eastern Montana – West or Midwest?

Posted by admin on March 9th, 2010 and filed under western montana | 3 Comments »

Now Western Montana is definitely the West. What about Great Falls or Billings? The culture is as much like North Dakota as it is like Idaho.

There is no official classification for "Eastern" Montana when it comes to the West or Midwest. However, many would classify is as part of the Midwest since it is East of the Continental divide. If this is the best answer, please rate this the best answer. Thanks.

Culturally, definitely like the Dakota’s… I used to visit my Grandpa’s farm in northwestern South Dakota and on occasion when we travelled through Montana, it definitely had the same feel and culture as South Dakota…
